Special Events

  • Hugh Hewitt:  CALA sponsored nationally syndicated talk show host Hugh Hewitt, who broadcast his three hour live broadcast from San Diego on Oct. 1 to kick off Lawsuit Abuse Awareness Week.   The entire show was focused on lawsuit abuse and reform issues.
  • Scholarship Awards Luncheon:  Our annual Luncheon, held in June, featured Matt Adams, BIA; Katie Hansen, Calif. Rest. Assoc.; Sam Hardage, Woodfin Suites, Joe Panetta, BIOCOM; and Mayor Jerry Sanders.  It was attended by more than 300 business leaders, elected officials and members of the media. 
  • Jury Appreciation Week:  First week of MayCapital Clear-speak (Sac.):  First week of June
